Our VM Team Jano & Heather were lucky enough to travel to Hong Kong recently to check out the sights, sounds and of course VM in this bustling metropolis. On the hunt for unique products to bring you for Christmas, they of course found a few spare moments to indulge in some shopping and sightseeing. With Hong Kong being a retail Mecca for shoppers and design aficionados alike, it is our pleasure to bring you some of the highlights of the windows and retail displays we saw on our visit to inspire and delight. Enjoy the eye candy!
Lush tropical greenery was the order of the day at both Bonpoint childrenswear and Moncler.
Two takes on frosty, sparkly goodness at the classically styled Tiffany & Co frosted ice window or the edginess at Philipp Plein with a crystal covered skull.
Harvey Nichols pulled out all the stops with this fabulous, fun take on a window display. Full of movement and colour, these oversize props of milk, cereal, bottles and airplanes feels so fresh and eye catching.
Neon and brights popped up in a number of window displays bringing a sense of humour to displays at Melissa and Repetto.
A beautiful art installation crafted from white and metallic paper with just a hint of red was pure magic at Clarins.
Finger licking goodness in these larger than lifesize dessert inspired displays which are good enough to eat.
Luxurious velvet florals in this jewellery display for Dior brought the glamour and made the botanical and insect inspired gems pop.
Dior also showed stunning craftsmanship and colour coordination with these metallic pipe window displays, carefully matched to the colour of the mannequin’s outfit and accessories.
Last but certainly not least, the Hong Kong Gift Fair put on a spectacular display with replica vintage caravans, poppy colours and prints and lashings of balloons and bunting in all shapes and sizes.
