My final blog celebrating everything Summer is about the style of Miami. For those who have not had the pleasure of visiting this amazing treasure there is style and glamour on every corner. The architecture and the colour are gobsmacking and well worth the trip to cross the fair nation of the USA to get to.
It rains A LOT in Summer in Miami but then the sun comes out and shines on the lush, green hedges and gardens. Stunning palm trees that touch the sky are on everyone’s front yard – some of them are even dressed up.
There is a certain Cuban flavour in many aspects of design in Miami which adds to the interest and excitement of the city, it’s restaurants and shopping precincts.
My stay was made just THAT much more fabulous staying at the infamous Hotel Mondrian – which epitomises Miami style in every way. From the sweeping black moulded staircase, the oversized golden bell chandeliers through to the green arched seating pods surrounding the pool (which of course had 2 oversized pink floating flamingos in it at all times) – if you go you must check this place out, it is worth the trip.
